The U.S. Life Saving Station at Brant Rock, Massachusetts from a winter scene in 1899. The life-saving crew took some time to pose for this photo that saved the images of these heroes into the pages of eternity. They certainly had their share of ice and snow to deal with. This is an unused and never mailed post card that is in very good condition with slight wear at the edges. It was published by the Tradd Heoschie Co of Brant Rock, Massachusetts. The U.S. Life Saving Service was a sister organization to the U.S. Lighthouse Service. In 1915 the U.S. Life Saving Service and the Revenue Marine Service were merged to create the United States Coast Guard. This card is sold as-is with no return.
