The narration of boyhood memories while growing up on an island in Boston Harbor during the period between 1920 and 1940. These are the adventures of a youth learning to cope with life and the problems of travel to and from the island. He tells of his Mother’s discipline, the animals on the island, storms shipwrecks, buried treasure, holidays, living without electricity and learning how to run a lighthouse. Written by the late Harold Jennings this is a real slice of lighthouse history. The dust jacket is torn on this previously owned copy.
