Description

This is an original 34-page report by the Secretary of the Treasury of the total expenditures and projections. Loaded with all kinds of historical data, but for the sake of lighthouse information it includes apparent expenditures at the following lighthouses, Baker’s Island, Cove Point, Ruton Neck, Plumb Island, Concord Point, Hooper Straits,, Smith’s Island, Cape Romaine, Neversink (as it was spelled at that time), light vessel for Tuckanuck Shoal, lighthouse at mouth of Neuse River, for a beacon light at Point Lookout, a light-house at Nagat Point, and other lighthouses and aids to navigation. Printed in 1830 in the early days of the government of the United States. This report is an amazing 183 years old. This is a great item for the discerning collector of United States history, lighthouse history, or ephemera. It is extremely rare and is sold as-is with no return.
