Description
This post card was mailed on October 18, 1908. It id of an unidentified U.S. Life Saving Service station with the surfmen posed out front with their surfboats and a man in a circle at the top of the post card who was most likely the keeper of the station. Card was published by Thomson and Thomson of Boston, and has a divided back indicating that it was most likely published between 1907 and 1915. Someone might be able to identify the keeper in the photo from old life-saving records. In 1915 the U.S. Life Saving Service became the U. S. Coast Guard. This card is in very good condition and is sold as-is with no return.
