Sub titled, The History of British Columbia?s Lighthouses and Their Keepers? this hard cover book with dust jacket published in 1986 by Harbour Publishing was written by Donald Graham who actually served as a lighthouse keeper at three separate Canadian light stations. The book is 269 pages with numerous black and white photos and illustrations; some are historic. The book starts out telling the story of the lighthouses themselves and then brings the reader to the epic battle for better working conditions for the keepers to the modernization era. All-in-all, this is a well-researched and written book. This previously owned copy from an estate, is in excellent condition and is sold as-is with no return.
